Aish, This Again (JYJ and N7W)

Standard

Obviously people have seen the constant arguing and fan uprising over the “N7W” cancellation (Allkpop has been spamming it like crazy). No shit, that was a bitch move. Yes, I agree that JYJ is and has been getting cockblocked from television. No, I do not believe that SNSD or f(x) is at fault; they don’t book their own damn shows.

However, what I do not understand is how a professional entity such as a television station cannot create any better explanation of why cancellations exist.

“We received a call on July 15th that SNSD and f(x), who were the initial ambassadors chosen for the program, were eventually able to adjust their schedules for our promotional event.” – KBS

Alright, that could be a legitimate statement, but why did no one seem to know about this beforehand? If those two groups were the initial ambassadors, that means they were confirmed prior to any scheduling conflicts. If so, why was it not publicized? In no time at all after JYJ’s confirmation was the news flocking the internet.

Also, while the performance was cancelled, it seems that KBS has made no ruling about JYJ’s actual position as ambassadors for JeJu island (correct me if I’m wrong). No statement has been issued as to whether or not the group still retains that position or whether that has also been revoked. If it hasn’t, then a performance cancellation is entirely illogical, as a benefit without the “declared official ambassadors” present at the event makes no sense. It’s like trying to watch Sungkyunkwan Scandal without Park Yoochun.

Before anyone says “backdoor pressure” from SM Entertainment on this one, shut it. It doesn’t matter (Plus, if it was SME trying to be dicks so everyone would know it, they would have shoved TVXQ up there). That’s how business works. It’s not a nice place and whining about it does nothing, however, filing with the Free Trade Commission against KBS does. Definite smart move on the C-Jes side. Unless any kind of shady business can be proven outside of rumors, the general public is still considered “ignorant” to the matter. That is, if there is such money pushing going on, no evidence equals no case, and a little tip from the Fourth Amendment in the US – there is no unreasonable search and seizure allowable. If C-Jes files against KBS for breaking terms without reasonable time notice, and it is accepted, then someone is getting somewhere. To make it a little clearer, think of the SME lawsuit. It’s over money. The case was accepted. There was proven evidence of a breach in contract by improper distribution of funds, such as the bonus for selling over 500,000 albums (As a side note on this, when people ask the question “Did they want SM to pay their taxes?,” the statement was misread. The point was that advances were taken out to pay taxes on the estimates of salary, though the estimate was not received. So taxes were being paid on uncollected money- good for the government, sucks for the taxpayers.).

As much as fans seem to complain about court, that’s the easiest way to get problems solved in business. In both the SME case and any impending filings against KBS, there is no emotional attachment. There is no judge of character as fans seem to flock over, and no weight paid on the statements made on television or other forms of media.

Aish, I’m sick of watching stupid people bicker on comment boxes over their opinions of performers and companies they know nothing about, even if I thought the “It should be K, BS” was quite entertaining. If I see another “Homin/JYJ” reference, I’ll hack that website and destroy the comments section. *That actually sounds like fun, no lie.* If you have a problem with KBS, sure. It really was a dick move, and they failed in trying to cover it up, but this really has nothing to do with the performers.

Truthfully,  I feel bad for the Jeju government, who got spammed by fans whist having no idea what the hell was going on. Not to mention it’s the support for their island that is getting fucked over.

Sorry guys, I still think Jeju is pretty. And that’s the main point. This is about Jeju Island. Is it JYJ or SNSD or f(x) that people are voting for? No, it’s a decision over whether or not this island is important to the world. That’s getting forgotten over all this arguing.
